Today's Reading
1 Kings. David had rejoiced when Nathan brought him God's message that David's son would build the Temple. Now it was coming into being. From the description, what are your impressions of it?
In Acts today, Stephen spoke to the religious leaders who had accused him. He began his talk by building common ground -- the history of their people. He is leading up to the climax of his presentation.
Psalms. I always need this Psalm. It is so tempting to see the church grow and want to be consumed by it. That's when life gets out of balance and goes haywire!
Proverbs. With sin at the very heart of people who haven't been born again, evil can take various and devious forms.
